Portland colleges, city tout new $100 million academic building in downtown

The city of Portland and its three biggest schools of higher learning are teaming up to transform a parking lot into a nearly $100 million hub for public health, education and city services.
Leaders from Portland State University, Oregon Health & Science University, Portland Community College and the city on Monday will formally lick off plans to construct a 200,000-square-foot building on PSU's downtown campus by 2020. Still in the design phase, the building is projected to be seven to nine stories tall.
